Rewriting aviation

Building the aircraft, the engines, and the autonomy that fly them.

Flight in city

The LATeral way of thinking

Three programs: aircraft, propulsion, and defence - built in parallel, in-house, from first principles. Each program develops capability the other uses. The propulsion stack feeds the aircraft. The autonomy stack flies it.

  • Designed from physics. Every subsystem built from the equations up - high-lift aerodynamics, hybrid-electric powertrain, gas turbine propulsion, vision-based perception, composite structures, flight controls.

  • Parallel pods, converging demonstrators. Capabilities matured independently across CFD, SILs, bench, and rig testing - then integrated into flying systems.

  • Build, test, fly, improve. We build, break, fly, analyse and fly again at a speed unprecedented in conventional aerospace.

High lift for ultra-short runways

High lift for ultra-short runways

Distributed electric propulsion generates high lift, enabling operations from compact air-stops instead of traditional airports. Designed & built in-house and validated in flight.

In house propulsion systems

In house propulsion systems

Hybrid powertrain to provide optimal battery boost for STOL and turbogenerator giving us endurance for a useful mission. Gas turbine compressor, turbine, combustion and controls designed and tested in house.

Defence systems built from the ground up

Defence systems built from the ground up

Vision-based multi-object tracking running on real-time hardware. Sensor fusion, state estimation, and control built in parallel. Roadmap from tracking to swarm coordination to GNSS-denied navigation. The same stack flies on LAT aircraft.
